This week I got Kate's take home outfit and am so excited about it!

It is a soft cotton gown with her monogram embroidered on it and matching bloomers.

They are both cream instead of pink.

Can't wait to bring this precious baby girl home!

today is the beginning of our third and FINAL trimester! yay!!! our doctor's appointment went well and she said that i am measuring 30 weeks....2 weeks ahead. which of course i hope means that she will make her big debut a couple of weeks early! won't be long now...we are SO excited and can't wait for Kate to meet all of you!

Prayers Needed

I have a good friend, whose name I am not going to mention, who has been trying to have a baby for a very long time. She and her husband are so deserving and she has done everything she can to make this happen. She is on her third IVF cycle right, in the thick of it and losing hope. It is so hard for someone who has not ever had to experience this heartbreaking situation to understand how sad, hopeless, lonely and defeated that it feels to go through it. Please take a moment and say a little prayer for my deserving friend, her husband and the future of their family that things will work out for them and there will be an end to all of their heartbreak soon.

This afternoon we had a surprise visitor at the door...Kate's first Valentine!

Jensen is the boy next door and he made the cutest valentine for Kate!

We had our 3D sonogram today and everything looks great but Kate was sleepy and very stubborn so we don't have the BEST shots that we could have gotten.

...Saturday Stuff...

We are busy busy bees this weekend. Nesting mode is in full effect....and Brett is LOVING it!!! hehe! We are having new carpet installed through the whole house next week so first thing that we did was to put four baby gates up to keep the dogs off of every square inch of carpet. Also, Brett is painting the ceiling of the nursery before we have the crown molding done. It looks awesome! If you can't tell from the phone camera picture it is grey. The nursery colors or cream/ivory, grey, ballet slipper pink and gold. The back walls of the corner cabinet are going to be grey as well as the ceiling and the glider, the walls are pink, the rest of the furniture is ivory and the fixtures are a matte/muted gold.

so sad :( the dogs are so used to being with us everywhere we go....Campbell is even willing to risk passing through the scary baby gate to be next to us! And anyone who knows how shy and scaredy cat Campbell is knows that is a big deal! You can tell just by their faces that Campbell is like "please let me in" and Maggie is like "how the heck do I get around this stupid gate...new challenge yay!"

...PLAYROOM...

Brett and I spent the first day of 2011 making the beginnings of what is going to be a playroom for Kate. A few days ago we went to start registering and after leaving the store with ZERO necessary items on the registry and 100 toys, we decided that we are going to need a space to keep all of this stuff. We (Brett ;) painted the playroom gray yesterday and moved all of the guest bedroom furniture into storage. We are so excited and can't wait to complete it and to register for more toys!!!
